Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,

Welcome to the Career Innovation Center (CIC), where we are committed to fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and real-world learning for all students. At CIC, it is our mission to help students discover their passion, their purpose, their path, and their career through profession-based learning opportunities that prepare them for both college and tomorrow's workforce.

At the Career Innovation Center, our dedicated team of educators and staff work collaboratively to inspire innovative learners who are equipped with the skills needed to succeed in their future careers. Our programs are designed with five key guiding principles that define and guide each student's experience:
 

  1. Profession-Based Learning: Our instructors develop real-world project-based learning strategies through collaborations with business and community partners. These interactions enhance the learning experience by preparing students for career and college.
     
  2. Professional Skills Development: Unique experiences at CIC allow students to cultivate transformative professional skills such as understanding expectations, time management, communication, and collaboration. These skills provide a competitive advantage in post-secondary education and professional careers.
     
  3. Self-Discovery and Career Exploration: Students at CIC realize their strengths and passions by exploring potential professions. This allows them to make informed decisions about their future while developing leadership qualities.
     
  4. Entrepreneurial Mindset: We create an environment where creative thinking and problem-solving are encouraged. An innovative culture is key to fostering entrepreneurial learning and design thinking.
     
  5. Responsiveness to Local Business & Community Needs: CIC supports high-skill, high-demand careers through ongoing innovation in curriculum development based on local business needs.
